Waste management and mechanical treatment plants
The operational heart of Glob Eco is its special waste management facility, located in the industrial area of Molfetta (BA), in the center of the Apulian coastline. Inaugurated in September 2001, it covers a total area of approximately 15,000 m², divided into two distinct lots dedicated to specific and complementary functions.
The first lot hosts a warehouse of about 6,000 m², used for the storage of End-of-Waste materials (MPS – Secondary Raw Materials) ready for shipment. Outside, a 3,000 m² yard houses the logistical equipment for waste collection and handling, including roll-off containers, press containers, Euro-pallets, IBC tanks, bins, and other dedicated solutions.
The second lot is the beating heart of Glob Eco’s industrial operations. It contains a modern automated mechanical treatment plant for both hazardous and non-hazardous special waste.
Located within a 6,000 m² warehouse, the facility is divided into three main production areas:
3. High-value refining and purification
aimed at eliminating residual impurities and maximizing the quality of the recovered material
An adjacent 6,000 m² yard is dedicated to organizing and storing waste according to the best available techniques (BAT) in the sector.
Completing the site are the company’s headquarters and administrative and technical offices, located next to the plant, ensuring continuous and efficient operational management.
This facility represents an advanced and sustainable model for special waste management, with the goal of transforming waste into valuable resources, reducing environmental impact, and contributing to the circular economy.
